Nylon - Its strength and durability, nylon is the most widely used fiber for carpet. It has a soft feel, is resilient and resists stains.

Wool - Wool fiber is offers warmth, softness and durability. It is also more expensive and comes in fewer colors and styles.

Polyester - This fiber is less expensive but does not hold up well to stains and high traffic.

Polypropylene - It lacks the resiliency of nylon which leads to matting and is not as soft as nylon.
